“Football will die” – Florentino Perez revives Super League and gives fans ominous warning

Posted by

Florentino Perez has warned football fans that the sport will die if they don’t take action – and fast.

Perez alienated the vast majority of the football community after spearheading the attempted Super League coup earlier in the year.

There is now a real distrust between football fans and those pulling the strings at the top of the game, who appear to still be plotting behind the scenes, despite the Super League proposals having ‘collapsed’.

Reports have circulated that suggest that the Super League is very much still alive, if lacking the commitment of Europe’s ‘elite’ (at least publicly).

Florentino Perez has now confirmed this publicly, calling on football fans to throw their support behind the idea in order to prevent football from dying.

The Super League is not just a tournament. It is trying to change the dynamics of football because we don’t even do anything, football will die”

While few would deny that football does need to modernise at some point in time, the fundamentals of the Super League proposals were so obviously flawed.

The idea that top clubs wouldn’t need to qualify for the competition, with their involvement guaranteed irrespective of their league performance. It’s sickening.

Perez is not motivated by the idea of saving football, rather by greed. You cannot trust a word that comes out of the man’s mouth.
