As with every major competition, a Team of the Tournament is revealed and FIFA have released theirs for the 2022 World Cup, with some big names in the squad.
Five of the XI will be taking place in todayβs final with Marcos Acuna, Antoine Griezmann, Lionel Messi, Olivier Giroud and Kylian Mbappe fully deserving their spots in the team, the latter three boasting a combined 14 goals at the tournament.
Shock semi-finalists Morocco have three players in the team with Achraf Hakimi, Sofyan Amrabat and surprise package Azzedine Ounahi and they are also joined by Croatians Dominik Livakovic and Josko Gvardiol (the best central defender at this World Cup), and Harry Maguire, who played 430 minutes of a possible 450 for the Three Lions in Qatar.

Griezmann and Mbappe are the only two players from the squad to retain their Team of the Tournament spot from Russia 2018, as France went on to win their second World Cup.
