Ferrari are reportedly planning to hire Red Bull chief Christian Horner as their team principal.

Horner is one of the respected figures in the F1 circuit, and he has done a phenomenal job with Red Bull over the past 20 years.

According to a report from Bild, Ferrari want Horner to join them. Horner, however, is keen to stay with Red Bull although he is out of contract in 2026.

Should he switch allegiance, Horner will work with his compatriot Lewis Hamilton at Ferrari.

Under Horner, Red Bull won eight F1 championships.

He was in charge during Sebastien Vettel’s dominant phase, and has been doing wonders with Max Verstappen.

It has been reported that Horner has been locked into a bitter feud with colleague Helmut Marko, and there is tension building in the team.

Verstappen even claimed that he would quit Red Bull if Marco was sacked.

There was a big difference of opinion regarding the choice of the second driver between the pair.

Horner wanted Franco Colapinto after he replaced Logan Sargeant at Williams, while Marko wanted Liam Lawson.

Verstappen’s father is not a fan of Horner and has publicly called for the team to sack him.

It would be a massive coup for Ferrari if he were to join them. Ferrari has top cars and equally top-class drivers, but they need a mastermind like Horner to guide them to Championships.
