In the world of social media, retired footballers are never too far from the sport they spent half their life playing and Fernando Torres found himself on TikTok recently. answering a question that nobody knows the real answer to: Who is better, Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo?
Doing a video for the Champions League official account, Torres had a goal in front of him, with graphics put up on either side of it, Messi on one side, Ronaldo on the other.
Having played with neither during his 263-goal career, in which he won the Champions League, Europa League and FA Cup with Chelsea, whilst also winning the World Cup and two European Championships with Spain, there was no danger of bias in his decision, as he eventually shot right and chose Argentina’s talisman Messi.

The 38-year old, who now manages Atletico Madrid’s youth team, also had to choose between Erling Haaland and Mbappe, Robert Lewandowski and Luis Suarez and even himself and David Villa, but you can probably guess who he chose there…😉
