Veteran sports broadcaster and Woking assistant manager Martin Tyler, was attacked and punched during an ill-tempered Conference game on Monday night.
The 72 year old was attacked and hurt by a spectator who allegedly reached over the advertising boards during the second half of the Conference South game between Woking and Wealdstone.
Tyler, who is a lifelong Woking fan said to The Sun “It was a minor incident but it was still unexpected and I’m disappointed. It was a bit of an affront and people should know better.
“I’m sure Wealdstone will deal with the offender.”
