Tottenham chairman and savvy business man Daniel Levy made a transfer window sale of a new pitch to Leeds United for £300k according to Football Insider.

Leeds United have had problems with drainage at Elland Road for quite some time which led to an incredibly rough surface quite like a ‘rugby pitch’ which Premier League clubs didn’t enjoy travelling to.

Leeds also didn’t like playing with this as their home ground clearly as they went and bought a new ready-to-go surface from Tottenham for a fee in the region of £300k but the last two games at Elland Road on the new ground has given fans the impression that Daniel Levy has sold the Yorkshire club some bad grass.

Leeds striker Patrick Bamford said at half time that the players had to put rugby studs on just to stand up on the pitch.

Wednesday the 3rd of February was their first game on the ground and it was a 1-2 loss to Everton with players repeatedly losing their footing and their 2-0 win over Crystal Palace tonight was no different with one fan thinking that it looked like the players were playing on an ‘ice rink’.

Here is what the fans think of Elland Road right now:

Maybe it will time to settle but fans aren’t impressed and if Levy has conned Leeds it could well end up with a seriously injured player.
