Footage from the stands of a college football game between No. 22 Miami and Appalachian State after fans saved a cats life with an American flag.
The videos circulated on social media over the weekend, with the cat being seen clinging on for dear life after some cruel, currently identified person brought it into the stadium and evidently wasn’t keeping tabs.
The footage shows the cat initially gripping with both paws, with one slipping away… and then the second.
Thankfully, there were supporters underneath who were watching it all unfold and prepared themselves suitably in order to save the cat’s life with an American flag.

Another view. That cat has a collar! And that man “trying to reach” was barely trying. pic.twitter.com/3nI75BhGfe

This swiftly turned from what could have been a disaster into somewhat of a feel-good sporting tale, but that doesn’t take away from the fact that the cat should never have been there in the first place.
Were it to have been killed in the fall, the owner who brought it into the confines of the stadium would have been solely responsible. They need to be found and have serious word in their ear…
