Fans can’t believe that striker Andy Carroll is wearing the number two jersey for Reading this season.
Reading takes on Machester United in the fourth round of the FA Cup as both sides try to get another step closer to Wembley.
Erik ten Hag showed fans that he is not taking this competition lightly but putting out an almost full-strength team, the only change being Harry Maguire instead of Lisandro Martinez.
As the teams walked out, fans noticed that Reading striker Carroll was wearing the number two jersey. Usually, this is reserved for right backs but the English man picked it in honour of his daughter’s birthday.
People were so perplexed by his choice that Reading had to tweet out their Whatsapp conversation to explain the decision.

Fans took to Twitter to express their confusion.
The Reading striker Andy Carroll is wearing a number 2 shirt in the FA Cup. Number 2 shirts are for right backs only, always have been, always will be. The game’s gone. #BBCFootball
