A fan on Twitter has gone viral after correctly predicting the score, and goalscorers, ahead of the opening night clash between Turkey and Italy.
On the opening night of a major international tournament, it’s often difficult to predict exactly what’s about to unfold.
Teams are historically pretty cagey, knowing that a negative result in the first fixture may well see their international dreams crushed before the tournament has even really got underway.
There was nothing cagey or hesitant about Italy at the Stadio Olimpico tonight, though, with Roberto Mancini’s men trampling over Turkey in a comfortable 3-0 victory.

One football fan on Twitter (@VaneJuice) saw it coming before was a ball was even kicked, taking to the social media platform to state his prediction that the Azzurri would run out 3-0 winners.
That would be impressive in itself, but quite remarkably, he’s also managed to predict the three goalscorers – including, and the most incredible of them all, Merih Demiral netting an own goal.
