Hannah Cash, the 22-year-old sister of Aston Villa and Poland star Matty Cash, is quickly making a name for herself in the world of sports journalism. Working as a reporter for CBS Sports, she recently caught national attention after an emotional interview with her brother following Aston Villa’s 3-1 Champions League loss to Paris Saint-Germain.
During the touching post-match exchange, Hannah expressed her pride and support, ending the interview with the heartfelt words, “I’m proud of you. I love you,” before embracing Matty in a warm hug. Hannah’s rise in sports media has been years in the making. She studied in the United States and graduated from the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas, in May 2024. While there, she played on the women’s golf team and anchored the university’s campus news station. Her diverse experience has seen her interview top-level athletes such as Harry Kane and report from major golf events, building a strong foundation for a promising broadcasting career.
Sports run deep in the Cash family. Their father, Stuart Cash, is a former professional footballer who played in the English Football League, while their older brother Adam is a football coach. With Hannah now emerging as a rising media talent, the Cash name continues to shine both on and off the pitch.
It always seems to surprise people when they learn Matty Cash represents Poland- the birthplace of his mother, but Cash is fully focussed on playing for the country he represents at an International level.
