BenchWarmers columnist Fabrizio Romano has taken to Twitter to provide an update on Harry Kane’s Tottenham future.
Kane has arguably been the Premier League player of the season, but heads into Spurs’ final two fixtures with only hopes of securing Europa League qualification.
The England striker has very little prospect of achieving his ambitions as a Tottenham player, and as a result, could be forced to seek a move elsewhere this summer.
According to Fabrizio Romano, he does want to leave the club, and while there has been no official transfer request lodged, his desire to leave is ‘confirmed’.
Virtually all of the other ‘Big Six’ could do with signing a striker this summer, which makes it hard to imagine Kane being short on options.
Romano confirms that to be the case, noting that champions Manchester City are very interested in signing the 27-year-old, with talks set to be opened in due course.
Harry Kane desire to leave Tottenham is confirmed.
He’s NOT handed in a transfer request but he hopes to find a solution.#THFC position: NO intention to sell Kane.
Kane would refuse a new contract, as of today.

Adding Kane to Man City’s attack would essentially end anyone else’s hopes of winning the Premier League title for the foreseeable future.
Manchester United and Chelsea ought to be readying a bid as much to prevent City signing him as much as ensuring they’re the ones to get him.
