‘No problem’ regarding Haaland-Chelsea links

Rumours about Erling Haaland’s future are chasing each other. From the Premier League to the La Liga, the deal will certainly not be easy and to date there is no favourite club: the striker is still linked to Borussia Dortmund, the release clause will only be valid from 2022 and not this summer. That’s why the situation remains calm at the moment, with all the top clubs interested but Borussia fighting to stay in the Champions League: this will be the real key to Haaland’s transfer.

In England there is the interest of Chelsea, there is no problem linked to the relationship between Thomas Tuchel and Borussia Dortmund; the real problem is the cost of the player, with Manchester City, Manchester United but also Real Madrid and Barcelona very interested. There is no offer from Bayern Munich for summer 2021, as Juventus are very cautious on this front. Mino Raiola does not like to decide the destination of his players in advance, so any negotiations for Haaland will not start before May.

No Salah or Klopp worries for Liverpool

The other top star Kylian Mbappe has not started any negotiations with Liverpool so far despite the rumours. To date, the priority is to negotiate with Paris Saint-Germain for the renewal of the contract, only afterwards will his future be decided with PSG president Nasser Al Khelaifi who is doing everything to convince Kylian – he wants over 25 million euros per season after taxes. Liverpool, on the other hand, are convinced that they can keep Mohamed Salah, soon they will also have to talk about his contract expiring in June 2023 but there is no problem with the club.

Speaking of Liverpool, the board is planning the transfer market with Jurgen Klopp and is not afraid of a possibility linked to the German National Team: there have been no contacts, the desire to make him Joachim Low’s heir for the moment has not developed.

The future of Real Madrid’s loanees

There are very few chances for Gareth Bale to stay at Tottenham: the loan from Real Madrid is about to end in June, his salary is huge and for this reason Spurs will hardly negotiate to keep him another season. Bale will be able to return to Real, but his eventual stay will depend on Zinedine Zidane and his future.

Real Madrid will also have a meeting with Arsenal at the end of the season: there will be talk of Martin Odegaard, because the Gunners want to keep him for another year but the loan does not include a buy option so everything is absolutely in Real’s hands. And even in this case, Zinedine Zidane will be decisive.

Ronaldo decision soon

Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo will soon have to decide what to do for next season. His agent Jorge Mendes has a meeting scheduled with Juventus in May for the choice, Cristiano still has a year of contract with the Bianconeri but everything is possible: the Portuguese dreams of a return to Real Madrid. So far, however, no signals from Florentino Perez have arrived and there is no advanced negotiation in this sense.

New contract for Dembele

Barcelona will begin negotiations with Ousmane Dembele for his contract in the coming days. Barca will have to make a decision, extend the deal or sell Ousmane in the summer. But the new president Laporta is a fan of him and wants to keep him, despite last summer both Liverpool (in June) and Manchester United (in September) tried to get Dembele on loan.
