Former Real Madrid striker Carlos Aranda, who was previously investigated for match-fixing, has been arrested in connection with marijuana trafficking, report Marca.
Aranda was someone of a journeyman in Spain, having moved clubs 16 times throughout his professional career, but never leaving his home nation. It was at Real Madrid where he started out, making cameo appearances in two successful Champions League campaigns for Los Blancos.

Unfortunately for the former centre-forward, as Marca report, he is probably best-known for being caught up in an investigation aimed to tackle match-fixing. That tarnished his reputation beyond repair, and things have now got even worse.

Marca report that Aranda is back in handcuffs, this time after being accused of growing and distributing marijuana. It’s claimed that over 700 plants were found and seized, in addition to €20K in cash.
It’s not quite clear what sent Aranda down this path of crime, but you get the impression there’s no wriggling his way out now.
