The record goal scorer for England and Manchester United Wayne Rooney was on Everton fan channel Toffee TV and gave a brutal assessment of his first training session with the blue team of Liverpool. See it below;

Rooney at that age was absolutely devastating. He was levels above most people in the league, never mind Everton. I still remember his UCL debut for United and the confidence and ability to perform he showed that night was off the charts!!

Got to love Wayne Rooney’s honesty here, what a player he was, still remember him scoring his first goal against Arsenal in the Premier League. Rooney probably doesn’t get the same amount of credit that others get, but when he was at his peak he was one of the all time greats.

He’ll be watching England closely again this weekend with England set to take on France this weekend in the quarter-finals of the World Cup, can England overcome the French?
