Everton are reportedly interested in as many as THREE Chelsea players, with Frank Lampard looking to raid his former employers.

The Toffees announced latest summer recruit Dwight McNeil, signed from Burnley, earlier in the week. Lampard is making his mark on a squad which was constructed under several different regimes.

Lampard is seemingly intent on adding new fresh faces to his squad before the end of the summer transfer window, with 90min reporting he has a keenly trained eye on his former side, Chelsea.

As per the report, Lampard is interested in raiding Chelsea for as many as three players that he worked with previously, with one of those already in ‘advanced talks’ over a move to Goodison Park.

It’s claimed that Ross Barkley, who is out of favour under Thomas Tuchel’s stewardship, as you’d expect after the last few years he has endured, is close to re-signing for Everton on a permanent basis.

In addition, Lampard is expected to return to Chelsea in his bid to recruit forgotten striker Michy Batshuayi and talented Scotland international Billy Gilmour, all before the window closes.

Whether Lampard will be successful in his efforts to snag all three remains to be seen at this point, but Everton fans can rest assured that their summer transfer business is FAR from finished.
