According to reports, Everton goalkeeper Robin Olsen and his family were robbed in their home over the weekend by a masked gang wielding machetes.
It has been reported by the Independent that the gang stole expensive items, including jewellery from the keeper’s home near Altrincham in Greater Manchester.
The shot-stopper, who is spending the season on-loan from Serie A side, Roma, was reportedly in his home with his wife and two young children when the robbery took place.
It is understood that Everton have stepped in to offer the keeper and his family support following the terrifying incident.
Luckily though, despite the vicious nature of the crime, neither Olsen nor any members of his family were left physically hurt.
