An Everton supporter was given the unique opportunity to score for his beloved side in a pre-season friendly on Friday night.
Evertonian Paul Stratton has been commended for delivering supplies to Ukrainian refugees ever since Russian president Vladimir Putin made the contemptable decision to invade the country.
With Everton facing Ukrainian side Dynamo Kyiv in a friendly on Friday night, the stage was set for the club, and the country of Ukraine, to show their gratitude to Stratton for his work.
After the referee pointed to the penalty spot, Stratton was brought onto the field in place of former England international Dele Alli. He stepped up… and buried it.
This is just fantastic to see – and every fan’s dream!
