Rumours were circulating this week that England captain Owen Farrell could bet set to head to the South of France to play his rugby.
The Saracens out-half has decided to take a break from playing with England during this year’s Six Nations and focus on his own and his family’s well being.
And can you blame him with these constant attacked by the English media, see this below and the comments to go with it;

That headline is bang out of order. He kicked well, made a couple of mistakes but certainly didn’t cost his team the game. They recovered from the intercept. Thought we were more physical and it’s a shame we couldn’t catch!
I’m fed up with the media blaming Farrell! I was livid at a comment from Lawrence Dallaglio on TNT yesterday when he said yhst the rumours about Farrell leaving might have something to do with the loss, as they lost when he announced he was stepping down from England for a while.Totally agree. Lazy sensational journalism which leaves very little true insight into the game I watched. Unnecessary negativity which NO player should be labelled with. The sport I watch is based on teamwork and respect.
I can understand Farrell wanting a change.THE criticism of him from certain quarters is rediculous.Whatever he does I am sure he will do it to the top standards he sets himself.
Sorry but Farrell’s incessant kicking away possession does court criticism and quite rightly so. Farrell plays in our nation’s rugby team and all 15 are open to criticism.You may ask why Farrell all the time? Two reasons: 1. Farrell is the captain and 2. His playing possession is pivitol for the ball distribution to the backs. If Farrell’s skin is that thin I urge him to think twice prior to moving to France because the French fans tend to be a great deal more vociferous than the English.
