Well this is getting slightly embarrassing for Boris Johnson and his team at number ten Downing Street, so much so that the visit of the English team to the Primer Minsters home has been put on hold, due to a fight between players and some of the UK government.
I’m told that plans to have the England team to Downing Street for a reception this week have been shelved, with attention turning instead to the PM’s levelling up speech in a few days.

You don’t get to stoke the fire at the beginning of the tournament by labelling our anti-racism message as ‘Gesture Politics’ & then pretend to be disgusted when the very thing we’re campaigning against, happens. https://t.co/fdTKHsxTB2

There has been some massive racial abuse online since the fallout of Sunday night when England lost to Italy in the Euros final. Expected at this stage really, which is the sad thing about it, do the UK government do enough about this though? Doesn’t look like it though, hence why a lot of the players inside the English captain aren’t too pleased with Boris Johnson and his team.
