I think he’s convinced himself it was an accident because he hates what he did. Shouldn’t have made the post, but at least he realized how bad an example he set for kids watching.He accepted guilt for the lesser sanction of recklessness, and denied it was intentional. Which does then beg the question that having been found guilty of intentional, why did they apply mitigation based on acceptance of guilt?Nothing embarrassing about telling his side of the story. My observation about the event is exactly what Etsebeth experienced. The part we did not know was that his arm was deflected by other players.
