A brilliant story has gone viral of Brian Mullins during the Covid lockdown

The legendary footballer Brian Mullins passed away last week at the age of 68, the Dubliner was regarded by many as one of the greatest players to ever play the game, having won four All-Ireland’s with the Dubs.

A story has gone viral on twitter this week of the time he inspired one of his close friends to get out and get active during the height of the lockdown. Tomas Quinn took to twitter to say;

“Hard to believe Brian is gone. A great man, I count myself so lucky for his friendship & guidance over the years. Told him during Covid I was struggling for motivation to train, he sent me this one morning at 7am so figured if he was up doing it I needed to get going as well”
