Fans have been left furious by a ‘question’ asked by Sky Sports interviewer Patrick Davidson to Newcastle United’s Joelinton after last night’s draw with Manchester United.
Joelinton had a tough start to life at St. James’ Park after being fielded predominantly through the middle, which is not his favoured position. Since the Brazilian has been moved out wide under Eddie Howe, he’s been a revelation.
He starred once again for the Magpies as they hosted Man United in the Toon on Monday night, earning themselves a point while probably being left disappointed that they weren’t able to get themselves all three.

With Joelinton having been named man of the match by Sky Sports, he, alongside teammate Sean Longstaff, was interviewed by Patrick Davidson in wake of the contest as part of the MNF show.
Davidson pulled no punches with his opening remarks of the interview, telling Joelinton to his face that he didn’t realise he was as good as he played on the night. You can watch the clip below…

As light-hearted you may have meant it. That was completely out of order to say that to Joelinton.

What do you think? Was it disrespectful, or merely a well-humoured remark?
