Diogo Jota drew Liverpool level with Tottenham in North London with a fine header past Hugo Lloris.
In a breathless first-half at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Harry Kane gave the home side the lead after finishing efficiently having been set through on goal by Tanguy Ndombele.
Tottenham had the opportunity to extend their lead as Liverpool’s defence repeatedly capitulated, but Antonio Conte’s men were unable to convert their opportunities.
That left Liverpool within touching distance of getting back into contention, and via a goal from Diogo Jota, they have got back on level terms.
Andy Robertson galloped down the left channel and delivered the ball into the penalty area, where Jota was lingering.
The Portugal international, who is very good in the air for a player of his size, used the pace on the delivery to direct the ball past Hugo Lloris and into the back of the net.
This game is perfectly poised!
