Diogo Jota gave Liverpool the lead over Watford at Anfield – but what about the cross from Joe Gomez!
Much has been made about Trent Alexander-Arnold’s absence from the Liverpool starting XI through injury, with the right-back being their main creative outlet.
However, Joe Gomez has proven that he can deputise for Trent on the right-flank whenever necessary, having delivered a gorgeous cross onto the head of Diogo Jota.
A Liverpool right-back delivering an inch-perfect cross to produce a goal? Sounds familiar, but this time it’s Joe Gomez 👊

Ben Foster didn’t cover himself in glory with the wild way he attempted to punch clear the cross, but credit to Jota for nipping in and getting there first.
Jota is very, very good in the air for a player of his size, but when you have teammates whipping in crosses like that on a regular basis, it makes life a whole lot easier!
