What a cruel way for St. Finbarr’s to lose out on a Munster title to Dingle GAA on Sunday at Semple Stadium in Thurles.
Former Cork star Mark Foley and former Dublin footballer Philly McMahon a long with a whole pile of others are not happy with the decision made by the man in the middle.
Who is that ABSOLUTE MUPPET of a referee. ? How was that a free for Dingle at the end. Bullshit decision. The Barrs were robbed. Simple as.

Shocking decision….player tried give ball back and Dingle player barged into him….players losing out on a Munster championship on a poor call like that is shocking https://t.co/tqcRYVhFNG

It was said.😬
The 1 rule that can give the ref so much power to predict the outcome of a game. Harsh free, no dissent, and then blew it as quick as the kickout left the tee. Unreal score👏 but my god that will haunt the Barrs players for along time. https://t.co/TVEEEY8pKg— Philly Mc Mahon (@PhillyMcMahon) December 7, 2025
Here are some of the comments online ..
I dont see you complaining about a similar call that went for St Finbarrs a few minutes earlier which was also brought up but the subsequent free was missed.
The Dingle player had to go after him for the ball, if the Barrs player makes a big deal of giving the ball back the ref let’s it go, common sense should kick in at that point, not easy to think straight at that stage, give the ball straight back and Barrs could be champions. Why did he pick it and give the ref a decision to make it Didn’t look like he was trying to hand it backBarrs should never have been in that position. They 7pts up and totally dominant!!! No one to blame but themselves

Moving the ball 50 yards forward for a crucial kick seems out of proportion.
Well done to the kicker anyway.
