Dillian Whyte has shared his thoughts on tonight’s huge clash between Anthony Joshua and Francis Ngannou.
Whyte has faced Joshua twice in his boxing career, once as an amateur where he was victorious and once in the professional ranks where he was brutally knocked out by ‘AJ’.
He was due to fight him again but a failed drugs test has scuppered that for now at least.
Speaking to TalkSPORT he backed his former foe to get the job done.
“Francis Ngannou could knock him out, he’s a big strong guy. Joshua is a good champion, and Olympic medallist, he’s come back from losses.
“Ngannou has got that something not many people have and that the desire to win and push back against the odds. You can never write someone off like that. People who come from places like me and him have something special inside.
“It’s a fighter’s mindset, that’s what makes us dangerous. But AJ is a big guy and a puncher. I’ve got to go with him for this one.”
