Deontay Wilder lost to Joseph Parker in December.

The hard-hitting American suffered a surprising defeat to his fellow former champion in Saudi Arabia.

In truth he looked a shadow of his former self and posed absolutely no threat to the Kiwi during their bout.

His lacklustre performance saw him drop down the rankings but most notable was the WBA who removed him entirely from their list.

But the organisation has now admitted they made a mistake and have reinstated him.

In a document published on their website they wrote, “Deontay Wilder enters at position No 9 due to activity, record and caliber of opponents. Was taken out of the ratings by mistake.”

“No. 11 Miller goes out of the ratings due to Wilder entrance.”

“No. 10 Hrgovic goes out of the ratings because he will be named official challenger of another organization. Kubrat Pulev enters at position No. 10 because he will fight vs. Charr on March 30”
