Joseph Parker pulled off the shock win over Deontay Wilder last weekend.
The Kiwi, like Wilder is a former champion but not many people fancied him to avoid ‘that’ devastating right-hand from the ‘Bronze bomber’.
But surprisingly he did and he looked close to getting the finish himself when he landed a huge right hand of his own in round 8.

Wilder when speaking in an interview with 78SPORTSTV described that moment.
“He caught me in a dazing moment. I f***ing zoned out for one minute, I don’t know what the f*** happened. The punch came but it wasn’t nothing that hurt, none of his punches fazed me at all.”
Parker went on to claim a comfortable points decision win, while it’s now Wilder who must re-build again.
Wilder didn’t like the body shots one bit. He was overpowered every round. He had nothing. Parker ended his career.
