The Danish National Team have been implicated in some sort of swimming pool orgy over the international break.
The Danes’ story at Euro 2020 was a memorable one, having lost talisman Christian Eriksen in their opening fixture, with the Inter Milan midfielder having suffered a cardiac arrest.
Denmark made it all the way through to the semi-finals, defying the odds, before being knocked out by England. They have gone on to qualify for the 2022 World Cup without conceding a goal.
While Kasper Hjulmand’s men are on top form on the pitch at current, they’re clearly not doing bad for themselves off it either, or so this report by The Sun suggests.
The report notes that the Denmark team, which includes the likes of Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen and Leicester’s Kasper Schmeichel, have been accused of sleeping with hotel staff after having a pool party.
Hotel Marienlyst was hosting the Danish players ahead of their trip to Moldova in World Cup qualifying. Hotel staff have been accused of being overly friendly with the visitors, as The Sun reports.

“Unfortunately, there are some employees who have been too friendly to the national team.”

“I have to remind you that we always act professionally, and do not socialise with the players privately in guest areas or in the rooms.”
The specific players who are accused of having sex with the hotel staff have not been named, which is dangerous for those who are in relationships or married.
We assume they have been internally disciplined for their actions… but might have got an under-the-table high-five from their manager for their efforts…
