Players do not leave Man City unless Man City want them to leave, that has been the case for the best part of a decade. It’s not just about the cash, they compete for trophies year after year – why would you leave?
You can be certain that this news will not be well-received on Merseyside, nor will the likes of Chelsea be holding on to much hope of overthrowing the champions if their talisman is planning on sticking around long-term.
