🕊️Paudie Clifford gave some lovely words at his mothers funeral in Killarney during the week as she was laid to rest

As we all know the mother of Paudie and David Clifford, Ellen Clifford was laid to rest this week. At the funeral her son Paudie gave some lovely words that really had people moved and in tears. Maybe she rest in peace.

“She was typical of so many GAA moms throughout the country. She was in the background but her role was so crucial. We’ve had happy days but there was obviously a lot of bad days, a few cards and things like that. It was never our fault in her eyes! Before we’d play a match she’d always say,

‘No fighting and stay on the field!’ It just shows her passion for all things GAA and it’s just such a beautiful legacy to leave us. I can’t imagine playing for Fossa and not having her down there watching. She went to every single game. I’m just so happy that you were our mom and for everything you did for us and I can’t believe we won’t ever see you smile again. We all love you, you’re going to be missed by so many people. Thanks, mom.”

We send our deepest condolences to the Clifford family, may Ellen rest in peace, Amen.
