What a tough weekend it has been for the Clifford brothers with the passing of their mother Ellen. After Kerry’s Munster football final win over Clare in the Gaelic Grounds in Limerick there was a few idiots that tried to get a selfie with the Fossa man. Talk about clueless!
Agree with this to be fair.
Good on the steward who stopped him.
Fair play to Kerry winning the Munster Final but honestly he should have shown him and the rest of the Clifford Family some respect— Marie (@MarieDuffy4) May 7, 2023
At full-time, a flock of kids, as they always do, made for David Clifford.
Mike Quirke was quick in reaching David out on the field to make sure he didn’t become ensconced by oblivious youngsters.
The selector shepherded him back to the stand & inside a wall of luminous bibs. https://t.co/77wcIX2GAe— Eoghan Cormican (@cormicaneoghan) May 7, 2023
You'd forgive a couple of kids but what on earth is that steward at trying to get a selfie with David Clifford 🤦🏻♂️ #GAA

Drove me mad to see a steward trying to get a selfie with David Clifford after todays game…leave the poor guy alone and assist him off the pitch!

A grown man trying to get a selfie with David Clifford as he's trying to get off the pitch at full time, what a clown considering the 24 hours that Clifford has just had

Did a steward really look to get a selfie with David Clifford?? Not the day for it. The little kids should know better, but this was a grown man 😵💫

We send our deepest condolences to the Clifford family at this time and may their mother Ellen Rest in Peace. Very sad for those two boys to lose their mother at such a young age.
David Clifford got man of the match on Sunday and is probably going to be one of he best footballers to ever play the game. At least Ellen got to see her son reach his potential and Paudie also of course, and Ellen even got to meet her grandson.
Very sad for the Clifford family, we send our best to the family.
Who was that gobshit trying to get a selfy as give the guy a break just after losing his mother…
Deepest condolences to all the Clifford family on such a Hugh loss to your family…may Ellen rest in peace and always be watching over her boys ….
Wasn’t even a steward. From a security company that the GAA use. He probably has some ego and could do whatever he wanted to. The company he works for should think about who they hire.
Deepest sympathy to the Clifford brothers and all their family members. May there Mother rest in peace. What a great game of football, their Mother Ellen was smiling down on them. 🙏🕯
May this lady rest in peace
Honestly the nerve of some people!
Idiots wanting a selfie after the Clifford brothers have just lost their beloved mother
Shame on them
Deepest sympathy lad’s 🙏
So true where has our old traditions gone to respect of a family when they lose someone the old family traditions the wake in the house then the funeral the following day or two depending on local traditions as every county has one just no respect from the generations of today say from the 80’s onwards now no manners at all.. ryan75maxwell@gmail.com
