David Beckham ‘like a kid on first day back at school’ as Inter Miami begin pre-season training

Former Manchester United, Real Madrid and England star has said he feels ‘like a kid on first day back at school’ when he watch former team-mate Phil Neville take his first pre-season training session.

Becks posted an image of himself on Instagram sitting on a football watching Neville take his first pre-season training session and in his own words Beckham said he felt ‘like a kid on first day back at school’.

Neville was appointed as the new head coach of Beckham’s new MLS club after stepping away from his position as England woman’s national team manager.

Inter Miami will be hoping to hit the ground running next season after they finished 10th in their first season in the MLS after signing an whole new squad, backroom staff and manager to compete.

The new boys won just seven of their opening 23 matches, losing 13 times, which is ultimately what led to Miami scared their old coach Diego Alonso and signing Phil Neville.

Inter Miami are part-owned by Neville’s former Manchester United and England team-mate David Beckham, who played in the MLS from 2007 – 2012 with Los Angeles side LA Galaxy.

Beckham will be hoping his old mate can bring some success to his new venture as Inter Miami head into what’s only their second season in top level football.
