Daniel Dubois was forced to pull out of his IBF heavyweight title defence against Joseph Parker.
The heavyweight was set to make the second defence of the belt following his stunning knockout win over Anthony Joshua last September.
A viral infection saw Dubois medically advised to withdraw from the contest with Parker just two days before they were due to step into the ring.
According to the Daily Mail the British heavyweight lost out on a cool £7million as a result of his last-minute decision not to fight.
The figure included his fight purse that he will now not receive along with the cost of his training camp.
But, although he may feel the financial blow of missing out on Saturday’s card he is said to be in negotiations to fight Oleksandr Usyk in a rematch following his defeat to the Ukrainian in 2023.
