Former Barcelona star Dani Alves has proven age is just a number for some people as the 37-year-old has been lauding it in Brazil for Sao Paulo.

Alves joined Sao Paulo in August 2019 and upon his arrival he was met with the coveted number 10 shirt and a new position as an attacking midfielder.

The 37-year-old is a lifelong fan of the Brazilian Série A side and since his debut on August 18th 2019 Alves has become one of the league’s most consistent players.

Sao Paulo currently sit seven points clear at the top of the Brazilian Série A (Jan 6th 2020) with Alves being a key part of their success in the middle of the park picking up 130+ touches in 13 games this season.

Alves has a rating of 7.38/10 for the season. That makes his Sao Paulo’s highest-rated player, as well as the fifth highest-rated player in the league.

Should Sao Paulo’s success continue they will be well on track to clinching their first league title in 13 years – adding to Alves’ already illustrious title record.

Alves has already won 41 competitive titles in his career including the Champions League and the Copa America.
