Dani Alves has provided an assist for Barcelona in the year of 2022. This is not a drill.
Alves returned to Barcelona towards the end of last year in a bid to help his former side in their time of need.
He is not understood to be receiving any sort of considerable wage after returning to the Nou Camp.
With the January transfer window now having opened, Barcelona have been allowed to register the Brazilian veteran.
Former teammate Xavi will be delighted to now have Alves at his disposal, with the full-back definitely not just there to make up the numbers.
As Barcelona took on Granada in La Liga on Saturday, Alves swung a delicious delivery in the direction of Luuk De Jong, who headed home past Luís Maximiano to give the Catalan giants the advantage.

Seeing Alves put a cross like that into the penalty area really does bring back good memories, doesn’t it?
Even now, at the grand old age of 38, he is still making the difference at the highest level. What a player!
