The former Waterford hurler and former hurler of the year Dan Shanahan is still playing club hurling would you believe at 45 years of age. In his 30th season with the Waterford club and to top if off he came off the bench and scored a goal and made a penalty.
Roanmore won the game 2-20 to 0-19, but full credit to Dan Shanahan who still has a mad passion for hurling and his legs are still holding up, see the video below;

Disappointing end for Waterford this year, having won the league and failed to get out of the Munster hurling Championship. Who will be the new Waterford senior hurling boss also with their former boss having returned to his native Tipperary.
