Cork played Galway in the Quarter-finals on Saturday afternoon at Semple Stadium and one tackle has really caused a debate on social media was the tackle Daithi Burke made on Cork and St. Ita’s Seamus Harnedy was this actually shoulder to shoulder or was it to the neck/head?
It’s causing quite the debate on social media with fans divided and think it was an extremely dangerous tackle..

Daithi Burke shouldered Harnedy in the head.
Ah but sure let the game flow…

Anyone saying this is a foul never played the game. Not 1 single Cork player even looking for a free. Harnedy is as tough as they go, just takes the hit and gets on with it.Burke showing why he’s one of the best FB’s in the game.

Not the commentary team but commentary on it since. If Daithi Burke made contact with head as you suggest Harnedy wouldnt have been able to continue as would have been knocked out

Regardless of what you think the rebels are out and Galway are true to the semi-final where they will play the All-Ireland champions Limerick. It’s a massive task for Henry Shefflin and his men to try and topple John Kiely and his men. Can the Tribesmen do it?
I would like to wish Galway all the best against Limerick.I’ll be in Croke Park to spur them on. Tom Corbett.
It’s a man’s game great tackle
