Czech footballer Jakub Jankto has this afternoon released a video on his social media where he announced that he is gay.
Jankto, who currently plies his trade with Sparta Prague on loan from Getafe in Spain, admitted in his video that he wants to ‘be free’.
Like everybody else, I have my strengths. I have my weaknesses. I have a family. I have my friends,” Jankto said.
“I have a job which I have been doing as best as I can for years, with seriousness, professionalism and passion.

Jankto is the third player to come out in the past two years, with Blackpool’s Josh Daniels and Australian player Josh Cavallo both doing so in May 2022 and 2021 respectively.
