Manchester United great Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly looking to engineer a move to arch-rivals Manchester City.
After speculation surrounding Ronaldo’s Juventus future at the very beginning of the summer, all had gone quiet. It appeared as though he would be remaining in Turin.
However, in recent days the situation has exploded into life, with Ronaldo now being heavily linked with a late-window move away from Italy – but to who?
The latest name thrown into the mix is Man City, with French outlet L’Equipe reporting that Ronaldo is looking to engineer a move to the Etihad.

City are in need of a new forward and no longer appear capable of striking a deal with Tottenham to sign Harry Kane.

This rumour, while fun, ought to be taken with a pinch of salt.
Ronaldo values his relationship with the Man United supporters and owes much of his early-year development to legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
It would be a major shock if he were to throw that all away in search of a quick cash-grab with rivals Man City.
The likelihood is that Ronaldo will not be able to find himself a new club between now and the end of the month.
The Portuguese superstar’s contract is due to expire in the summer of 2022. He’ll likely have to wait until them to try something new – and it almost certainly won’t be City.
