Cristiano Ronaldo claims Saudi League will soon be in the world’s top 5

Cristiano Ronaldo made a big claim about the Saudi Pro League after his stunning winner kept Al Nassr in the title race.

The 38-year-old’s goal proved to be decisive in his side’s 3-2 win, which keeps them three points behind leaders and rivals Al Ittihad with just two games left in the season.

While Ronaldo may not win the league this season, he believes its quality will only improve in the coming years, to the point where it becomes one of the five best in the world.

Check out what he said below.

His claim is of course predicated on improvements across the board as he mentions, and on-field matters may soon be boosted by the arrival of Ronaldo’s greatest rival, Lionel Messi, as well as Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba.

It still seems fanciful that the Saudi Pro League will ever be viewed as a top five by fans around the world, but money talks and the Kingdom certainly has a lot of it.
