Cristiano Ronaldo becomes the greatest ever goalscorer in football history

Juventus striker and all round football God – Cristiano Ronaldo –  has become the greatest goalscorer in football history after bagging his 760th professional, competitive goal in the 64th minute of Juve’s Supercoppa Italia clash with Napoli.

Ronaldo has beaten the record set by Josef Bican who scored 759 competitive goals during his glittering career between 1932 and 1955.

The Portuguese captain’s strike against Napoli opened the scoring in the Supercoppa Italiana and it also means that he has hit a ridiculous record-breaking 760 goals throughout his remarkable career.

Ronaldo has made 1040 appearances throughout his career scoring 450 goals for Real Madrid, 118 for Manchester United, 102 for Portugal, 85 for Juventus and five for SportingLisbon where he broke through as a youngster.

We’ve been watching Ronaldo tear it up for years but below is the moment he immortalised himself and wrote his name into yet another record book but this time as the greatest ever goalscorer in the beautiful game. Congratulations Ronaldo well deserved.
