The Cork county board met this week in a closed meeting where the media are not allowed in. But thanks to the Irish Examiner and journalist Eoghan Cormican we know that Cork GAA made €100.000 for their previews events before the final.

Cork GAA raised almost €100,000 from their three All-Ireland hurling final preview events at Páirc Uí Chaoimh.
The figure was disclosed to delegates at Tuesday’s behind-closed-doors county board meeting but not included in subsequent bulletin circulatedhttps://t.co/dqNwgty4Nx— Eoghan Cormican (@cormicaneoghan) August 8, 2024
The whole ‘not letting press into the meetings but we’ll give ye a post meeting bulletin’ and leaving out such a major detail like that from said bulletin 😬😂
They’ll definitely be able to provide those long-waited bike stands outside the stadium now, right?
The executives wouldn’t just pocket all that money, would they? They wouldn’t do that, surely?
Eoghan, do you get to attend the meetings of other sports organisations where they give you a detailed breakdown of their financials??
Do these bulletins from the meetings ever get published somewhere?
