The two time All-Ireland winner with Cork John Gardiner has been very active on his twitter this summer and yesterday the former Cork defender stated that there was a lot more in that Cork team.
“Cork are much better than they showed today, and lost by 1 – that’s a killer – but I’m not gutted.. are we desensitised at this stage?”
If you’re a Cork supporter you would be hugely disappointed, Cork missed some massive chances and still only lost by one point.

Oh good luck…..much better than they showed my arse…Galway played terrible…..a team with multiple all stars and a starting XV in which half have Celtic crosses. That Cork team have F all..manage your expectations.

The rebuild will start for Cork now, will the management stay on? Where will the new hurlers come from? It’s nearly 20 years since Cork last won a hurling All-Ireland. That’s a shocking statistic for the size of the county.
