Ever since Monday’s cancellation of the opening Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler press conference in Dublin fans have speculated that the fight might be off.
The UFC made the shock announcement on social media and wrote:
‘Dear UFC Fans– The #UFC303 press conference scheduled for Monday June 3rd in Dublin, Ireland at 3Arena has been postponed until further notice. We sincerely apologize to all the fans who were planning to attend. When we have further information on a new date and time, we will share it immediately. – Thank you.’
Later Conor McGregor, posted his own message to the fans. On x formerly Twitter he wrote:
‘In consultation with the UFC, todays press conference was cancelled due to a series of obstacles outside of our control. I apologize to my Irish fans, and fans around the world, for the inconvenience and appreciate all your passion and support. I can’t wait to put on the greatest all-time show in the Octagon.’
Well, the Irishman’s latest Instagram post hasn’t exactly stopped the speculation where he appears to be receiving medical treatment.

Fight fans responded to the picture.
One said: ‘I have no doubt in my mind that conor fights on june 29th.’
Another added: ‘He is being medically cleared for his upcoming fight !!’
A third commented: ‘Trolled all of you now he has you in the palm of his hand like he planned all along.’
