Conor McGregor is going to donate €50,000 to help to fight the homeless crisis in Ireland.

The UFC star is currently on a promotional tour of Ireland and intends to make the donation from the proceeds of the events.

The money will be split between the Simon Community and Focus Ireland.

He announced the donation in a Facebook post this afternoon, in which praised the work of both organisations in battling the crisis.

“The work of both these organizations is unparalleled with the homeless crisis in our country,” McGregor wrote.

The donation will be used to fund a mobile health clinic and support family services.

“The Takeover 2015” event is in The Foundry in Waterford tonight and the Savoy in Cork on Saturday.

On Monday and Tuesday will appear with team-mates at a Q and A in the Wright Venue in Dublin.
