Conor McGregor hasnât fought for over three years.
The Irishman last entered the Octagon in July 2021 when he suffered a leg break against Dustin Poirier in their trilogy fight.
He was due to return in June against Michael Chandler before a toe injury ruled him out of their eagerly anticipated showdown.
This has left âThe Notoriousâ return up in the air but according to UFC president Dana White he wonât be in action this year.

âWe talked and he wants to fight,â White said when asked when McGregor will return to the Octagon. âWeâll figure it out. Not this year. He wonât fight this year.â

Taking to X formerly Twitter, McGregor hit back at Whiteâs claims.
He wrote: âAh Dana, December is the date! Bring the calendar year home with a winning event! Come on now, whatâs this? I am off to altitude next month to prepare. DECEMBER! Tell Dana and UFC WE WANT DECEMBER! WE DESERVE DECEMBER!â
