Conor McGregor is set to return to Octagon this year.
It’s finally been announced that the former double-champ will take on Michael Chandler in a 170-pound return.
The clash is set as a five-round main event of UFC 303, which caps off International Fight Week 2024 on June 29 from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Following the announcement the Irish superstar posted a video of him in sparring.

The clip has received mixed reaction online with some left unconvinced by the footage.
One questioned: ‘Why do all of his sparring partners always look like rookies? Are they afraid to actually spar with him?? Are they paid to fight like they’ve never fought before?’
Another added: ‘Sparring partners aren’t even putting any pressure on him.’
A third commented: ‘This is part of the reason he never got to that elite 155 level. Never expanded his team in bringing in world class athletes and sparing partners to actually make him better.’
A fourth replied: ‘I love Conor, but is he sparring his own fans from his pub? These sparring partners look 20-21 years old and look super weak.’
Others are just happy that McGregor is returning to action.
Oh dear, Chandler in trouble

Glad to see Conor looking like an MMA fighter and not a boxer https://t.co/NQPnEffAFT
