The 64 year old former Meath footballer Colm O’Rourke didn’t hold back on his criticism of the GPA and believes the GPA are throwing their toys out of the pram. The Meath man believes that the GAA players are extremely privileged to play for their county in big games at and Croke Park and don’t deserve anymore in terms of expenses. Surely with all the money in the GAA, they can surely do better for the players that fill the stadiums?

I'm presuming by Colm O'Rourkes statements here that he's not taking any fee from RTE for the Sunday Game and that he's doing it for the "privilege" of being on RTE? https://t.co/9gEZZZbs2x

Rewatching league Sunday & Colm O’Rourke’s take was absolutely ridiculous. It’s actually maddening to hear him, this whole the pleasure to play in big matches 🤯 comparing club players to county, is he forgetting county players are also club players.

The bottom line here is that the inter county managers should be limited in their number of sessions. The players are getting flogged.

Guy making plenty of bucks from punditry lecturing players on semi professionalism !! Wasn’t short on hypocrisy when lecturing teachers about pay in past either. 🙄

RTÉ have to release how much he is paid don’t they?
I’m conservatively saying 10k per year.
Does he realise the hypocrisy 🤷🏽♂️— Kevin Mulcahy (@movementcoachkm) March 14, 2022
