Cody Rhodes shared a nice moment with Sami Zayn after WWE Raw

Cody Rhodes and Sami Zayn are arguably the two most popular performers in WWE today, and the pair shared a nice moment after Raw last night.

Sami and his Undisputed tag team champion partner and best friend Kevin Owens had just lost a non-title match to the Judgement Day pairing of Finn Balor and Damian Priest after help from Imperium, led by Intercontinental champion Gunther.

These two factions were doing the bidding of the primary group in WWE, the Bloodline, whose special counsel Paul Heyman was seen at the top of the ramp.

After the show went off the air, the fans were sent home happy as they usually are when Cody and Matt Riddle ran down and beat off the heels, before Cody put Zayn on his shoulders and the pair saluted the crowd.

Cody has also spoken of how Kevin Owens was a major help to him when he left WWE in 2016 and went about reinventing himself on the independent scene.

KO put Cody in touch with the Young Bucks and told them to look out for him, which crazily eventually led to the formation of AEW. KO has also regularly been seen rocking t-shirts paying homage to Cody’s father, The American Dream Dusty Rhodes.

It is obvious the friendship between Cody, KO and Sami Zayn is off-screen as well in storyline.

It is expected the three men will continue to team up over the coming weeks and months, as they battle against their ever-increasing foes.
